February 2026 civil society, non-governmental organizations, national human rights institutions, United Nations entities and other relevant stakeholders were invited to participate in online survey and inform civil society space report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
Civil society space report considers EHRAs (Article 26, reference 42 among them) and highlights that shrinking civic space has a disproportionate impact on marginalized communities because restrictions imposed on the CSOs and community-led organizations representing them ultimately restrict the communities’ own ability to participate in public life, defend their rights and influence policies affecting them.
