Join us for a practical workshop on how nonprofits can use cryptocurrency to raise funds and make payments. You’ll learn the fundamentals of cryptocurrencies and blockchain, understand why this matters for NGOs, and gain practical knowledge in two key areas: receiving crypto donations (crypto philanthropy) and sending funds to partners and communities (money transfers and payments).
The workshop covers an overview of the growing crypto-giving market, platforms for accepting donations, practical security considerations and regulatory requirements, as well as real-world examples of money transfers to hard-to-reach regions. We’ll conclude with security best practices and tools to help you develop a crypto policy for your organization.
This workshop is designed for nonprofit leaders, finance managers, and staff responsible for fundraising and fund distribution.
